I’m Laura, and I’m a writer living in North Carolina. Writing has been a love of mine since I learned how to spell. In elementary school, I made up stories and dreamed of seeing my name in print one day. In high school, I wrote for and edited the school newspaper.

I attended Elon University, where I did not pursue writing, but instead took a detour to major in Leisure & Sport Management. I worked in the nonprofit space for a little over a decade. Eventually, after marriage, motherhood, and leaving the traditional workforce, I realized writing is what makes me feel alive, and I’d missed it.

Now, I spend my days writing and editing part-time in between bouncing from carpool line to carpool line, picking up the Legos covering my floor, overusing the word y’all, reading my way through stacks of library books, and scouting out the perfect coffee shops to work or write in. I also co-lead creative cohorts for women who want support and encouragement in their creative journey.

Need a writer or editor? I’d love to help.
